About The Speaker
Dr. Amruta Paranjape is the Head of Aquatic Therapy & Chief Scientific Officer at NeuroGen Brain & Spine Institute. A highly experienced Physiotherapist & Aquatic Therapy Specialist, with a decade worth of experience, she has been affiliated with NeuroGen Brain & Spine Institute, India, since the last 7 years. She holds a Bachelors in Physiotherapy from the prestigious Manipal University, India, a Masters in Applying Physiotherapy from the coveted Sheffield Hallam University & a Post Graduate Certification in Cardiovascular Rehabilitation from University of Chester, UK. She is also a Certified Aquatic Therapy Practitioner, from the Kliniken Valens, International Aquatic Therapy Faculty, Switzerland and an ATNI Certified Aquatic Therapy Module 1 Trainer. She has authored & co-authored 5 books based on Neurorehabilitation & Stem Cell Therapy for Neurological Disorders such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Muscular Dystrophy, Stroke, Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Cerebellar Ataxia, etc., and contributed chapters in 12 of the books published by NeuroGen Brain & Spine Institute. She has a total of 33 scientific publications in Indian & International Scientific Journals, to her name. She has also conducted 7 National Workshops and 3 International Workshops in Aquatic Therapy. She has also been awarded the First Prize in the Young Scientist Forum by the Stem Cell Society of India, Annual Conference, 2018 and a Second Prize in the Young Scientist Forum by the International Association of Neurorestoratology Conference 2014.
